Current Situation
Over the past couple of weeks, you have noticed issues that have impacted the RMS back office system. The Restaurant Systems team has identified the root cause and we are working with our vendor (Blue Yonder) who has been highly engaged with Recipe to resolve the issues with RMS.

This resolution will entail a mandatory maintenance of the RMS data tables over the next 6 consecutive weeks. Once completed, the performance of RMS will be greatly improved.

The Plan
For the 6 consecutive Tuesdays (Started Tuesday August 29th) the RMS application will be unavailable between the times of 1:00 PM - 5: 00 PM EST. During this maintenance window, Blue Yonder will be conducting critical maintenance on the RMS data tables. Throughout these maintenance windows, some RMS functions will be affected and potentially impact your daily restaurant procedures.

Processes impacted over the six weeks

EOD functions - could result is longer than than usual processing times
Deleting draft invoice
Jarvis App
Scheduling (Viewing Schedules, Time Off Requests, Availability Requests)
Counting Inventory
Creating Purchase Orders
Jarvis Desktop Site
Updating the RMS tab on Jarvis user profiles

Processes NOT impacted

All WFM components - labour forecasting, scheduling
Payroll activities - closing pay periods, PC clock functions, editing punches, adjustments
Placing orders in RMS, posting draft invoices
Inventory - Counting and entering
Reports - Payroll & Inventory

Best Practices during the maintenance period

End of Day (EOD) procedures :
Please only run once and allow EOD to process. It may take as long as one-hour. Please be patient and resist the temptation to log off and open another instance of EOD. Initiating multiple EOD sessions will cause further issues and result in an “oops” error message that only the vendor can resolve

Restaurants will experience longer processing times between 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM EST causing your restaurant to be placed in a queue. Where possible, please avoid these higher volume times and delay EOD procedures to later in the morning or after 12:00 PM

Placing Orders : To avoid any disruption in your Sysco orders, have your Sysco orders placed by 12:00 PM (EST) on Tuesday

Scheduling - Provide schedules to Associates prior to the outage

Counting Inventory using Jarvis - Use RMS site to count inventory or place orders

Draft Deliveries : We are aware of the error message when restaurants try to DELETE a draft delivery to move it into SCHEDULED status. Recipe is working with the vendor to resolve this issue. To avoid this error message and allow for EOD procedures to continue, please refrain from moving it to Scheduled status and continue to just POST all draft transactions.

Posting Invoices : Ensure you post the invoice in the appropriate week.
